Fuel cells are very promising alternatives to commercial combustion engines for electrical power source. Their high efficiency and low pollution levels can give us the motivation to develop researches. The most advanced system is polymer membrane fuel cells but they still have some limitations to substitute commercial engines. Solid, inorganic acid compounds such as CsHSO4, CsH2POx have been intensively studied because their unusual high conducting phenomena over the transition state which is called superprotonic phase. It<92>s one of candidates to overcome the limitation of polymer membrane fuel cells. Although many intensive studies have been done, we still don't get clear understandings of phenomena near the superprotonic transition. My research is focused on dynamic behaviors near the transition, the mechanism of pre-motion before the transition using solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
